What Can Mountain Lions Teach Us?
Join wildlife biologist Mike Puzzo for a conversation about his experiences studying mountain lions in Southern California. As human development and populations increase throughout the region, mountain lions and other wildlife encounter more and more challenges. Find out what Mike hopes to learn from his ongoing cougar research, and what it can teach us about our relationship with California’s wildlife. Mike Puzzo is a wildlife biologist for the Wildlife Health Center at UC Davis. He has been studying, tracking, and trapping mountain lions for over 3 years. Two dates!

5th Annual Desert Skies Outdoor Lecture Series

Join popular astronomer and syndicated columnist Dennis Mammana as he enlightens and inspires us about the mysteries of the cosmos visible from Anza-Borrego Desert. Each of these exciting programs will be followed by telescope viewing of the desert sky – weather permitting. Please dress warmly and bring a blanket on which to sit. While it isn't necessary, feel free to bring binoculars and a flashlight covered with red cellophane (to preserve night vision).
